My name is Elizabel, and  I'm a licensed clinical professional counselor in Illinois and a licensed mental health counselor in Indiana. I'm a very emphatic, creative, resourceful, honest, tolerant, and dedicated professional to enhance your mental health.
 

My educational background includes a Bachelor's degree in Psychology and a Master’s degree in Rehabilitation Counseling from the University of Puerto Rico-Rio Piedras Campus. I'm currently working toward the completion of my Ph.D. in General Psychology.

My experience in counseling dates back to 2012, when I started working with children and adolescents. In addition, I also worked with immigrants (unaccompanied minors), substance-use individuals, and at-risk youth in different environments such as outpatient settings, school-based programs, and group therapy. For group therapy, I specialized in structured psychotherapy for adolescents responding to chronic stress (SPARCS) and Trauma and Grief component therapy for adolescents (TGCA) that can also be used in individual settings. These different experiences have helped me to build my clinical background. I now enjoy using Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Rational Behavior Therapy, and Cognitive coaching as part of therapy interventions. The important part is that I will adjust to what you need to help you grow and be a better version of yourself.
